These lessons life has taught me:

As I have grown older, I have realized that there is nothing else as special as family. At times, I have taken the family I have been blessed with for granted and I truly regret that I didn’t spend as much time with them as I could have. High school was when I really started appreciating my family and everything that they have done for me. Life has taught me to always tell the people you love that you actually love them and never let them forget how special they are to you. This important lesson helped me to realize how everyone needs to feel love, even my parents. I have always relied on them to make me feel better and to build me up, but I often forgot that they need to be supported and encouraged as any other normal person does. My efforts have been towards showing my parents the love I have for them by respecting their wishes and doing what they ask of me with a positive attitude. I am so thankful to have the family that I have, and I never want to take them for granted again. Life has taught me to treat the people I love with respect and compassion, and never assume that they know what you are thinking. I have also learned to improve my communication skills with my family as life has progressed, and I am always open with them about my happenings and interests. Life has definitely taught me the importance of family and love, and I have been extremely blessed to have the family that I have.
