Phoenix to LA is well worth the 5 hour drive through the night. Despite the exhaustion sleep depravation brings, catching a golden sunset over Hollywood, Downtown and the Valley is heaven. Alone, the drive is insightful. But with friends co-piloting and dj-ing the ride, it is a memory from the second you hit the 10 headed west. West for the hills, ocean and escape.
